• Ring worm is an infectious disease also called tinea corpus
• It is caused by various types of fungus

• Ring worm has nothing to do with worms of any sort at all
• School aged kids are commonly infected by this disease
• Sports that involve mats that are used over and over again like gymnastics or wrestling

SYMPTOMS OF RING WORM

• Some symptoms of ringworm is;
• Ring shaped rash
• Itching or burning
• Scaling
• Discomfort

CAUSES OF RING WORM

• Skin to skin access with a person or animal that is infected
• Or contact with something a infected person or pet has touched
• In rare cases it can be spread threw soil

THE PREVENTION

• Don't share clothing towels or other personnel items
• Minimize contact with the infected person or animal
• Keep skin dry and clean
