In 1884, five out of the seven Ringling brothers had started their own small circus in the town of Barboo Wisconsin. Durning this time circus' we're a booming things most popularly was them fore mentioned Barnum and Bailey's traveling circus.
The Ringling brothers saw this and headed out to the Midwest and eastern seaboard, while Bailey took his show to the Rocky Mountains 1905, he died a year later.

• When people were off of work and had cash in their pockets, they'd come to the new circus show in town, it was ever changing so no two shows would be the same. This lead to people seeing new sights they'd never seen before to the point we still have many of circus' today
