ROAR
By: Katy Perry
Report by:Samantha Hess

Katy Perry's "ROAR" is a very happy, upbeat song. Like most of Katy's songs, this song is about rising above peoples standers for you. She is speaking to everyone, there isn't just one person she's talking to and she's saying that you can be braver then people say you have to
be, smarter and stronger too. Many people don't believe in them selfs enough and Katy was trying to say that you should.

Katy was trying to signal a whole different time period. I think she was trying to make it a time where women didn't have the same rights as men. But still it may be our own time period because women still don't get treated with the respect that they deserve, which Katy was trying to tell people.

The tone of this song just makes you want to sing along and not care about what the world will think of you for it. If your feeling down you can put this song on and you'll suddenly feel better about yourself and the world. Katy is very good at making songs about becoming stronger and moving on with life, which is the overall tone of the song.

The true theme of this song is just stand up for yourself and except who you truly are. She's saying don't be ashamed of who you are, make yourself be heard, you are important, tell the world you are and if they don't like who you are forget them and move on.
