  • Robert Lee Frost was born in San Francisco
  • Born on March 26th, 1874
  • Parents are William Prescott Frost Jr. & Isabelle Moodie
  • His father descended from Nicholas Frost in Devon,England.

San Francisco was home for Robert. He was born and raised for many years in that lovely part of California.

MOST FAMOUS FOR

FROST WAS WELL KNOWN FOR HIS POETRY THAT WAS EVERYDAY LIFE RELATED

Robert published his first poem in his high school's magazine. After high school,Frost attended Dartmouth College long enough to be excepted into Thelta Delta Chi fraternity. Frost returned home to teach and work at various jobs including delivering newspapers and factory labor. He didn't feel it so he began to write again.

In 1894 he sold his first poem "My Butterfly:An Elegy" for fifteen dollars. Proud of this accomplishment is when he proposed to Elinor, but she wasn't quite ready. She wanted to finish college.
