Stevenson and his wife, fanny Osbourne, took a three-week honeymoon to an abandoned sliver mine
He died of a stroke on December 3, 1894
He mainly wrote mysteries and adventurous stories
Dr. Jekyll and mr. Hyde and kidnapped were mostly written on his sickbed
He was only 44 when he died
