ROCK CYCLE STORY

HOW ROCKS ARE FORMED

IGNEOUS ROCKS

  • Lava getting cold and hardening near the earths surface.
  • Magma gets cool inside of the earth.

SEDIMENTARY ROCKS

  • Formed by the gathering of tiny pieces of rocks (sand) in either water or on land.
  • Only rock type with living or once living parts.

METAMORPHIC ROCKS

  • Formed by one or more rocks bonding over lots of time, heat and pressure.
  • Metamorphic rocks form in a volcano or by the earths surface

MELT

  • Turned into a liquid by heat.
  • Liquified by a lot of heat.

EROSION

  • In the middle of being eroded or eroding by water, wind ,soil and other tiny particles.

WEATHERING

  • Change the way something looks or something's texture by wind, water and other particles.

HEAT

  • Rising of temperature.
  • Being really hot.

PRESSURE

  • Force against an object.
  • Hard force with contact of something solid.

TIME

  • Is infinite.
  • Past, present or future.

Rock cycle 🔛🔄
Metamorphic rocks can turn into sedimentary rocks by weathering and erosion, over time they turn into sediments from compaction and cementing, metamorphic rocks can also turn into igneous rocks by heat pressure and time and then turn back into a Metamorphic rock.
