THE IMPACT

THE HUMAN IMPACT ON THE ECOSYSTEM

The impacts are air pollution and land pollution. These are the two main human impacts on the Rocky Mountain Ecosystem. Air pollution causes contaminants in the air to be inhaled or absorbed by the organisms in the ecosystem. This also causes smog and haze to form in and around the area. Land pollution causes land to be taken up and used as land fills which destroys ecosystems and habitats of the organisms in the area. So far, none of this has happened but if land and air pollution continue to grow then this will eventually become a reality.

How to Conserve, Preserve, and/or Renew the Rocky Mountain Ecosystem

I think that the Rocky Mountain Ecosystem is fine. I will just state some things for if the ecosystem becomes damaged and polluted in the future.

-I think that a way to conserve the ecosystem is by not building roads and interstate highways between the natural ecosystem. Animals that live there and could be harmed if they cross the highway or road and be hit by a vehicle.
-A way to preserve the ecosystem could be by not constructing lodges and resorts in the ecosystem. This uses up the resources in the ecosystem and also destroys small ecosystems. It also causes habitat loss which leads to a decrease in organism population and biodiversity.
-Finally, a way to renew the ecosystem could be by establishing native plant species and re-introducing native animals. This would increase biodiversity and encourage population growth.
