The Rocky Mountain Parnassians butterfly is a strong flier, even on the the windy alpine tundra at 12,000 feet.
Trees need an average growing temperature of about 50 degrees fahrenheit.
Rocky Mountain National Park volunteers give more than 100,000 hours a year to the park.
