Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry, took place on a rural area in Mississippi, in Spokane county, in September, 1933. It was during the Great Depression.

Living in a world where whites were very prejudice against colored poeple.
You can find two examples of this plot on page 25 and pages 113-115.

1) On page 25 there is a picture of the chart stamped on the inside cover of a school book and it states that when the book was in good condition whites were the only people who got it, and when the book was really damaged the black people got the book.

Took a photo of the book and table cloth in background. text from book and mind.

2) On pages 113-115 it states that Cassie wasn't paying attention to the road and accidentally bumped into Lillian Jean. Lillian Jean's dad pushed Cassie to the ground and ordered her to apologize to his daughter. While lying on the dirt path, and Lillian Jean higher on the side walk, Cassie was forced to apologize.
