TIMES THEY STOOD UP

About 19% times in the book so far barely any black people stood up and did not care about how they treat people. Here are some examples.
1. On the bridge Uncle Hammer did not back up and went across the bridge anyway.
2. When Lillian said get in the road that ain't enough Cassie stood up and said no are you crazy.
3. Cassie beat up Lillian for being rued and made her apologize to her for being so rued.
