CENTRIPETAL FORCE

  • A force that causes an object to move in a circle
  • The loop in the coaster is the cntripetal force

ENERGY CONVERSION

  • When potentiol energy turns in to kinetic energy
  • The first drop is energy convedsion from the top of the drop (potential energy) and then going down the drop (kinetic energy)

FORCE

  • The chain pulling the coaster up the track
  • The coaster was pulled up by the chain in this picture before they started going down the initial hill

FREE FALL

  • What happenes at a 90 degree drop on the first hill
  • The picture in the backround is a complete 90 degree drop

FRICTION

  • The wheels rubbing against the track
  • The picture is a wheel on a roller coaster and track

GRAVITY

  • Why you go up the first hill but not the second
  • The picture is that gravity pulls you down and that coaster will never get up another hill

KINETIC ENERGY

  • When the coaster is moving
  • The coaster is usually always moving

POTENTIAL ENERGY

  • When the coaster is stopped at the top of the first hill
  • The car is stopped at the top of the coaster

MOMENTUM

  • The coaster gains more speed when more people are in it
  • There is no one in that cart so there wouldnt be as mich speed

NEWTON'S FIRST LAW

  • When you are pushed back when the coaster starts
  • In this cartoon the guy is going downhill amd the force against him is making it harder for him to move forward

NEWTON'S SECOND LAW

  • The cart will go faster when there is less people in the cart
  • Theres only about six people in this picture and they will go gaster than with more people.

NEWTON'S THIRD LAW

  • When the cart pushes on the track the track pushes the cart back
  • In the loop the cart pushes against the track and the track pushes it forward

VELOCITY

  • The speed of going down a hill
  • This picture is a roller coaster thatchas a corckscrew and it goes 90 degrees downhill
