  • Roman engineering was more civilized and functioned better than anyone else

  • They created a revolution in architectural design
  • Romans made concrete and they used the arch
  • Aqueducts were made to transport water
  • They used engineering to improve lifestyle like transportation of water
  • Romans built many significant buildings like the coliseum

  • The roman roads were built with layers
  • Roads were built with a slight angle so water would not stay on the roads
  • Bridges were built with arches, built out of stone and concrete
  • Dams were built to hold water
  • Roads were common at the time but Romans improved them

  • Roman roads were built strait they could not bend

SIGNIFICANCE

  • Roman engineering is significant because we use methods they used
  • They surpassed everyone in engineering in their time in engineering
  • They came up with ideas we use today roads, bridges, dams
  • The engineering is so significant because the Romans were so much more advanced
  • They constructed many memorable buildings and things like the colosseum
