THE ROMANS-ENTERTAINMENT

People saw gladiators, slaves, prisoners and animals fight. Chariots pulled by horses were driven around a ring seven times.
Actors wore mask. White for women and drown for men. The costumed showed who the person was. Women were not allowed to act. The plays were violent and sometimes people died.

FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE

• Many became greedy and the government cheated on the cions they made
• The birth rate fell and outsiders had to be brought in
• Finally Rome fell to the army of Alaric and small tribes moved into the empire
