WHO CREATED IT?

THE ROMAN SENATES CAME TOGETHER AND MADE THE ROMAN LAWS. JUSTINIANS 1 WAS ALSO A HUGE PART OF MAKING AND APPROVING A THE LAWS.

What did it look like and what did it do.

The Roman laws consisted of 12 tablets . Before the 12 tablets there were only a few laws and they only applied to the Roman citizens. The 12 tablets were laws that the all of Rome had to follow.

Why was it created

4. Roman judges tried to make fair decisions that respected peoples rights. Romans did not live up to their ideas like people everywhere. The poor slaves were not treated like the rich. Emperors made laws because they had the power to and justice lived on.

What Impact did it have on Rome during its time?

The law gave them restrictions on what they could and could not do. The philosophy told them how to live and what to live by. The citizenship in Rome was how they were supposed to act and be around people.

What lasting impact does it have on our world today


6. European countries are much more based in parts of Ancient Roman laws. Roman law developed the division between public law, in which the state is directly involved, such as with issues of treason and taxation, and private law, concerned with disputes between people, such as over contracts. This system was the basis for what is now known in the West as Civil Law
