SUICIDE IN ROMEO AND JULIET

  • Romeo and Juliet teach about suicide. It teaches others that killing themselves isn't always a solution.

In Romeo and Juliet they end up falling in love causing them not to think about the consequences But they fear losing each other because of there families being enemies

The thought of losing each other made them think that they had no point of living anymore. When Romeo found out that Juliet was "dead" he said "Then I defy you, stars" (5.1.24). Romeo was saying that he was now going to kill himself because he was lost what he loved most.

When Romeo killed himself Juliet had just waken up. She didn't know what was going on but woke up finding Romeo dead. She thought there was nothing else to do but to kill herself and join him.

In the real word there are teens committing suicide. Just like in Romeo and Juliet, they had a reason to, just not a very good one. Teens don't look for the consequences but look for what's best for themselves just like in Romeo and Juliet. They don't really care what others think as long as they are happy

This connects the real world because there are people that are doing this and aren't looking for helping from anyone. They don't look for consequences they just go for it. They don't think about what exactly they are doing. For them it is like a piece of their life was taken away. Just like the the book
