WHO?

  • Romulus and Remus are the twin brothers are central characters of Rome foundation.
  • Romulus and Remus are founders of Rome.
  • But Romulus wanted the new city (Rome) to be on the Palatine Hill; Remus prefers the Aventine Hill.

WHEN

  • Romulus and Remus were born on March 27/28 771 BC.
  • Remus died in April 21, 753 BC because his brother killed him.
  • Romulus died at the age of 55, he found Rome when he was 18 and ruled for 37 years.

WHERE

  • Rome was found on the Palatine Hill.
  • But Rome's original place was supposed to be on Aventine Hill.
  • So both brothers quarrel and Remus is killed. So Rome is found on the Palatine Hill.

WHY

  • Romulus found Rome and built it.
  • It was important to ancient Greeks because when Romulus found and built Rome Greeks had a city to live in.

HOW

  • Rome is a part of life to day because it's a historical site and a tourist site.
