ROSA PARKS FACTS

  • 1928- Attended booker t. Washington high school
  • 1932- Married Raymond Parks
  • 1943- Became active in the civil rights movement, a wish for African Americans to be treated equal

MORE ROSA FACTS:

  • 1955-took a stand by not giving up her bus seat to a white passenger
  • 1955-she was arrested
  • 1956-bus boycott ended
  • 1992-published her first book
  • 1999-given the Medal of Honor by president clinton

ADDITIONAL ROSA FACTS:

  • 2005-rosa died
  • 2013-a statue of her was made
