Rosa Louise McCauley was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, on February 4, 1913. She moved with her parents, James and Leona McCauley, to Pine Level, Alabama, at age 2 to reside with Leona's parents.
By refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery, Alabama, city bus in 1955, black seamstress Rosa Parks (1913—2005) helped start the civil rights movement in the United States.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." I chose this quote because of how Rosa had to have faith in her own beliefs even when they were not popular.
Rosas life and commitment to justice demonstrates gods plan for human beings by the way she never gave up in pursut of justice and civil rights for all people, no matter their race or background.
~Rosas cause corresponds to the principles for a just society because of how she belives that everyone is created equel and everyone should love one another under God.
~Rosas life reflects Gods mercy by the way she takes action in her beliefs that everyone should love another and not be segrageted like they were at the time.
~By her actions of showing that everyone has equal rights. She shows how under God and the church are instraments of communion for all people to deepen there relationships with each other and the lord.
We can help preserve the Legacy of Rosa Parks by reminding ourselves each day that it no matter what ethnic group or background some one is in we are all the same under God and we should treat each other in that sense.
