She was born on February 4, 1913
She lived in the country with her grandparents.
She went to school 5-6 months a year.
She was a sick child.
Married Raymond Parks in 1932

She was an active member.
She also joined the NAACP.
She was their secretary.
She attended meeting along with her husband.
She decided she didnt want to be the center of everything

Rosa had a bad experience with the bus driver
There were no more white seats.
Rosa was sitting in the colored seat when a white person told her to move.
She said no, and got arrested.
This was the action that had basically changed her life forever.

Rosa parks was in jail for no longer than a day
She was bailed out by her friend Clifford Durr.
After all of this, a boycott on the buses was going to start.
Rosa had many interviews about the incident.
She had other trials even after her release.

Later years
Rosa became an icon in the Civil Rights movement
She had also suffered from it.
Rosa could not find work after it.
Her husband died in 1977.
She left the civil rights movement.

Influence
Rosa Parks has been an influence ever since.
Schools, Monuments, and a highway was named after her.
She was named "The first lady of the civil rights."
Had many honors.
She received the presidental medal of freedom.
