REMARKABLE THINGS๐Ÿ˜ฑ

  • When Rosa Parks was helping lay the foundation for the civil rights movement , Dr . King was still in high school.
  • Parks was taught as a child to sleep with her clothes on in case she was awakened during the night to run from the Klan.
  • Her act of civil disobedience was not pre-meditated.

I LEARNED ๐Ÿ’ฌ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿฝ

  • Rosa Parks wasn't the first African American woman to refuse to give up her seat it was 15 year old Claudette Colvin.

"EXAMPLE IS LEADERSHIP" ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

  • Rosa did not tell others to refuse to give up their seat she did it herself, she didn't plan this act of defiance either. She led by example, that is an action of a true leader.

In Rosa's last few years she suffered from dementia which is a broad category of brain diseases that cause a long term & often gradual decrease in the ability to think & remember, which is great enough to affect a person's daily functions.

Sadly Rosa died on October 24th, 2005 in Detroit, Michigan though she lived a long life dying at age 92.... R.I.P ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ
