ROTAVIRUS

• Most common cause of severe diarrhea
• Common among infants any young children
• Nearly every child is affected by age 5

WHERE?

• Found in fecal contaminated food
• From cooks using the restroom and not washing hands

SYMPTOMS

• Takes about 2 days for symptoms to show
• Watery diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain
• Dehydration is common in death related cases

TREATMENT

• Antibiotics dont help because they fight bacteria not viruses
• Drink plenty of fluids
• Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds
