WHY DID WE COME?

  • Rubber tappers came to the Amazon Rainforest in the 1870s
  • Rubber tappers came to the Amazon rainforest because they were hired-
  • to start working on rubber plantations in the Amazon.
  • Rubber tappers do not harm the rainforest.
  • But when rubber prices dropped almost all of the plantations were closed down.

CONTUINED

  • But some rubber tappers stayed in the amazon to continue working on rubber tapping.
  • But there is diffulties between us the rubber tappers and loggers.
  • Since loggers our cutting down the trees we can't collect the sap to make rubber.

HOW WE USE OUR RESOURCES.

  • Rubber tappers use sap to make rubber
  • Then we use it to sell to the people.
  • The producers will make their new-
  • or a product that is already made and they are producing it again.
  • Like our iPad cases.

CONTUINED

  • The rubber on the side is from rubber tappers.
  • The rubber tappers are helpful because they give us our every day products.

WHY WE WANT TO PRESURVE

  • Rubber Tappers use the rainforest by making rubber from the sap from certain trees.
  • The trees they use are called rubber trees.
  • All of the natural rubber comes from rubber trees.
  • We want to preserve the rain forest because we collect sap from the trees liked I-
  • said and if we won't be able to collect the rubber from the trees Brazil would have no rubber.

CONTUINED

  • To get rubber from the trees we go to our rubber trees and we hook up-
  • our buckets to the trees and start scraping the latex and then it go into our buckets.
  • We don't harm the trees in any way we are just collecting the latex.
  • If we didn't collect the latex then Brazil would have no-
  • tires, rubber bands, gloves to protect our hands and ext.

JUSTIFIED

  • We need the rainforest because we are making rubber and-
  • selling it to Brazil witch then they are selling it for more money.
  • We do not harm the rainforest.
  • All we do is give Brazil more money and maybe they give the money to-
  • the people who really need it.
