Who were the abbasids?

Abbasids were leaders who controlled a large territory and created culture that is called the Golden Age of Islam.

What does Caliphate mean?

Caliphate stands for the reign of a Muslim ruler.

What do abbiasid caliphate mean togeather?

The rule over the Middle East that went on for over 5 centuries.

WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE RULE OF ABBASIDS CALIPHATE?

The abbasibs started uprisings during the reign of Umayyad and ended his reign. This then created a new era called abbasids rule.

Baghdad’s Golden Age

Many Persians supported the Abbasids. The abbasids set out to relocate there capital east near the Tigris River and then established it in Baghdad in 762 a.d.

The abbasids ruled from Baghdad and has many Caliphs for overt 5 centuries.

The abbasids consolidated Islamic rule by created amazing intellectual and cultural developments in the Middle East during the golden age of Islam.
