Rural areas are geographic areas that are located outside cities and towns. Typical rural areas have low population density and small settlements and agricultural areas are commonly rural such as forests. Different countries have various definitions of "rural" for statistical and administrative purposes. An urban area is the region surrounding a city. Most inhabitants of urban areas have non agricultural jobs. Urban areas are very developed; meaning that there is a density of human structure such as houses, communal buildings, roads, bridges, and railways.
