- The sun and its atmosphere are divided into several different layers and zones
- They are the core, radiative zone, and the convective zone.

MERCURY
- Mercurials is the smallest planet on our solar system and is closest to the sun
- It completes one orbit around the sun in about 88 earth days which is much faster than any other planet.
- Mercury's surface temperature can reach about 840 degrees F.
- Mercury is slightly larger than the moon
- About 4 billion years ago an asteroid about 60 miles wide hit Mercury with an impact equal to 1 trillion megaton bombs
