PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Peter was a disciple of Christ and the leader of the disciples and the first pope
His Hebrew name was Simon
He was born in Syria, and lived in Rome, Antioch, and Jerusalem
His brother was Andrew the Apostle
Jesus commissioned Peter to tend his sheep (lead his church) and asked him if he loved him
He denied Jesus three times
Jesus might have seen more potential in Peter which made him the leader of his disciples
Jesus performed a miracle by catching a huge number of fish and made Peter started believing him and become his follower
What happened to Peter in Jerusalem at Pentecost?
The Holy Spirit filled the Apostles, and they began to speak in tongues. He preached to the people.
An angel of the Lord came and released Peter after he was arrested in Acts.
Gamaliel was a member of the Sanhedrin who advised the rest of the Sanhedrin to not put Peter and the apostles to death

The Petrine Succession is the handing down of Papal duties and the title of Pope
