SAINT PRISCILLA

Priscilla or formally referred to as Prisca was a Christian woman whom possessed a Jewish heritage. It has been sated that Priscilla was one of the earliest known Christian converts who lived in Rome.

It is a known fact that Priscilla was born in the 1st century AD and was a patron Saint of good marriages.
Her feast day is celebrated on July the 8th.
Saint Priscilla was regarded with great respect by the Holy Roman Catholic Church as she was mentioned in four different books in the Bible, willingly converted her house to a Church in the service of Christ and was a martyr.
Saint Priscilla is commonly thought to be the first example of a female teacher in the early Catholic Church history.

Saint Priscilla is formally mentioned in the bible along side her beloved husband, Aquila. They are often regarded as the most famous married couple in the bible itself as their names and courages journeys are linked and featured together throughout the holy bible. Aquila was a Jewish Christian and was a professional tent maker.
The married couple had been involved in the act of Jews being expelled from Rome, an order made by the Roman Emperor, Claudious . They then left and ended up in Corinth.
They then meet and created a strong bond with Saint Paul who was also a tent maker by trade. It has been stated that Priscilla and Aquila lived, worked and travelled with the well known apostle, Saint Paul. As a packed they travelled across the region, but it wasn't until later on in Corinth were Priscilla and Aquila encouraged, motivated and helped Paul establish an important Christian Church.

They then left Rome and ended up in Corinth where they encountered with a man who also undertook tent making by trade. His name was Saint Paul.
It has been stated that Priscilla and Aquila lived, worked and travelled with the well known apostle. Priscilla, Aquila and Paul travelled across the region, but it wasn't until late in Corinth where they encouraged, motivated and assisted Saint Paul with his establishment of an important Christian Church.
