Life was like in my Historical Frigure

  • In his time, there was only one religion, which was Christianity in the form of the Catholic religion.
  • The lives of the Medieval people of the Middle Ages were dominated by the church.

St. Thomas received a formal education. He started his education at Monte Cassino and the University of Naples Federico II. He joined the Dominican Order at nineteen. His family didn't want him to join the Dominican Order, so the family arranged for Thomas to move to Rome and then to Paris instead.

St. Thomas became the father of the Thomistic School of Theology. St. Thomas believed that the existence of God could be proven in five ways. The five ways are
1. "Immovable Motor"
2. Identifying God in every cause.
3. Believing why you are here.
4. Knowing there is good people
5. Nature itself is not intelligent, so it is God who guides it.

St. Thomas was an important Italian Dominican Theologian in his time. He devoted himself to a life of traveling, writing, teaching, public speaking and preaching the words of God.

St. Thomas had a vision that made writing seem unimportant to him. He heard a voice in church and it said, "Thou hast written well of me, Thomas; what reward wilt thou have?" to which St. Thomas said back, "None other than thyself, Lord."
