The Salem witch trials occurred in colonial Massachusetts between 1692 and 1693.
More than 200 people were accused of practicing witch craft - the devils magic- and 20 were executed.
ONE MAN WAS PRESSED TO DEATH BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT SAY WHETHER HE WAS GUILTY OR NOT.
The most infamous trials were conducted by the court of Oyer and Termanier in 1692 in Salem town.
