  • Saber and Conocer
  • Pedir and Preguntar
  • Ser and Estar

SABER AND CONOCER

  • Both mean "to know", but in different contexts
  • Saber means, "to know information"
  • I know where/how/when/why something is
  • Conocer means, "to know a person, place, or thing, or be familiar with"
  • I know who it/they are

PEDIR AND PREGUNTAR

  • Both mean, "to ask", but in different contexts
  • Pedir means, "to ask for, or request for an object, service, or favor
  • I ask for you to help me/you to bring me something/for an object or person
  • Preguntar means, "to ask a question or request information"
  • I ask for an answer/a (time, place, description, etc.)

SER AND eSTAR

  • Ser and Estar both mean, "to be"
  • Ser is for talking about being perminant and that doesn't change
  • Estar is for talking about being non-permanent and something that does change
