When you think of Substitution, think of a Substitute Teacher or of Substituting one Ingredient for another when cooking or baking: like ham for turkey; or margarine for butter.

When you think of Augmentation, think of changing the Reality of your surroundings. For example, when you watch a football game and they mark the first down with a computer generated line. Also, think of the ways people have augmented their bodies to look like a specific person or animal.

When you think of Modification, think of how a person can Modify a car. Civilian cars and station wagons can be Modified to be Police Cars and Hearses. Houses and Sports Fields can be Modified with heated floors and fields. Finally, students with Learning Disabilities can have their education Modified to meet the needs of their Education.

When we think of Redefinition we think of what Redefining a classroom means. A lot of times today it means putting the learning in the hands of the students and the guiding in the hands of the teacher. Also, how superheroes have Redefined their identity through changing their image: by making a female Thor; a Middle Eastern and female Ms. Marvel; or a Black Green Lantern.
