Ever since Samsung came out with their hit smartphone in 2012, Apple has been in constant competition with Samsung; and they even tried to shut them down in a lawsuit later that year.

But before I tell you why you should buy a Samsung phone over an Apple iPhone, (as if the answer wasn't obvious), I am going to answer any of the obvious, and not so obvious, questions asked by those seeking to purchase a phone.

WHICH IS FASTER?

Samsung's new and fast operating system is not only updating constantly, but for every software update Apple comes up with, Samsung had already come out with 2 or 3. Samsung is making faster happen faster.

WHICH COSTS LESS?

While the iPhone 5s costs $549.99, including a 2-year contract with Verizon wireless, The Samsung Galaxy S5 costs $599.99 with the same 2-year contract. A $50 price difference, but with the Samsung, you are definitely getting what you pay for.

WHICH LOOKS NICER?

This comparison can be something that varies on the customer or consumer's opinion. If one like the features of the phone, the buttons maybe or the shape or size, then they might be more drawn to a certain phone. But idealistically, futuristically and conservatively, the Samsung phone is much prettier.

WHICH TAKES BETTER PICTURES?

This is by far the easiest, most obvious better feature on the Samsung phone than the iPhone. Samsung wins by a landslide. For example, when zooming in, the iPhone's resolution only worsens, whereas the Samsung phone's focus is clearer than crystal. It looks as if you were seeing through another pair of eyes, instead of a blurry mess.

WHICH IS MORE RELIABLE?

When your battery is running low and you have no access to a charger, your iPhone is bound to die. There is no escaping that. With the Samsung phone, you can switch out your battery and charge the dead one when you have access to an outlet and/or charger.

WHICH PHONE IS MORE DURABLE?

(IN CASE I DROP IT WITH NO CASE...ON THE FLOOR OR IN WATER)

Samsung has come up with a solution to both dropping your phone on the floor, or in water. The solution is their new Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, which is waterproof (can stay in 3ft. of water for 15 minutes), and has a protective covering all around, especially those tricky corners.

WHICH HAS A BIGGER CAPACITY?

Samsung's capacity trumps Apple's by so much it's ridiculous. Apple doesn't offer easily accessible places to store your extra stuff. With Samsung, you can get dozens more GB of space within 5 minutes.

COLORS?

BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE LIKE OPTIONS...

Not only does the Samsung have a higher picture resolution than Apple, as we talked about before, but it comes in a large variety of colors. (14 colors, including black and white) (Apple has 11)
