FOUNDING

  • It was founded July 14, 1771
  • It was 5miles north west of the community in monetary county
  • They chose this site because it had good crops
  • Father Junipero Serra founded This mission
  • Native Americans were very important to my mission

HISTORY

  • It was also used for baptism
  • The Native Americans made houses, cloth, soap, and weaved
  • Native Americans revolted for freedom
  • Olive groves, wheat fields,corn, and beans
  • My mission did not experience any earthquakes, fires, or floods

PRESENT DAY

  • It is in the middle of the United States
  • It used for ment to become priest
  • A priest manages it
  • It is in a milltary base
  • A few pieces of structure remains

  • A structure of 165x37 ft. was built for storing lumber
  • Their were 2 buildings and a few rooms
  • They built it out of burnt brick
  • Their was a church
  • There was also a living quarters

  • It was the 3rd mission
  • It is not named after a city
  • It was popular for its horses
  • 1 year it had 200 horses
