Even though the plane ride takes about an hour and a half or the road trip takes six hours, San Francisco is like wandering to another dimension. There is so much to explore and there are so many things you can learn from Alcatraz to The Golden Gate Bridge to Chinatown. Each square is something new and spectacular that is all worth while. Imagine waking up to the soothing smell of sea salt and feeling the gentle breeze of the mist brushing your face and just the thought of a new day of excitement starting. So don't go for the further, expensive trip when all the great things you want to see are in front of you.
