Increasing Speed

• There are three types of acceleration
• The first kind is increasing speed
• This is when an object of some kind is moving at a growing speed
• The rocket behind is showing this acceleration in real life
• This is usually what people think of as acceleration

DECREASING SPEED

• This is the second type of acceleration
• The plane shows this type of acceleration
• This acceleration is also known as deceleration
• Another term for this is negative acceleration

Changing Direction

• This acceleration doesn't have to change speed
• This acceleration only has to change direction
• For example, a toy train can stay at a constant...
