SATELLITES

  • There are three different types of satellites
  • MEO, GEO,and LEO satellites.
  • The GEO satellites tell us about other plant nets and mechanisms in space
  • The MEO and LEO satellites allow us to use the internet and anyther wireless connections

METEOROIDS

  • Most are fragments of asteroids, comets, moons and other celestial bodies
  • Have a wondering, random or haphazard paths through space
  • Vary in size from micrometer size grain to large individual boulders
  • Large earth like rocks floating through space
  • Contain pre solar grain minerals from billion years before our solar system

THE MOON

  • The moon has no atmosphere.
  • From Earth, we always see the same side of the moon; the other side is always hidden
  • The Moon takes about 27 days to go all the way around the Earth.
  • The surface has things such as craters, lava plains, mountains, and valleys.
  • The Moon is about 250,000 miles (384,400 kilometres) from Earth.

SATILLIES, METEROIDS, AND THE MOON

  • The meteoroids drift and float out in space
  • The meteoroids hit the moon and make craters
  • And we know this because the GEO satellites catch it on camera while it happens
