DISCOVERIES

  • Galileo was the first to discover the ring, but he didn't really know what they were.
  • He thought that there were 2 moons on both sides of Saturn. But realized after a seconds look that they were gone.
  • Christiaan Huygens later discovered that what Galileo saw were the rings of Saturn.
