  • They are also located in Nigeria,Togo,Zimbabwe,and Zambia.

What animals are in the savanna

  • Animals such as zebras,rhinos,gazelles, hyenas,and cheetahs.
  • There are other animals such as elephants,lions, and starlings.

SAVANNA'S CLIMATE

  • The range of temperature in the savanna 68 to 86 degrees fahrenheit.
  • The most rainfall falls between March and November.
  • With an annual rainfall of 10 to 30 inches.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT SAVANNAS

  • Many animals of the savanna are endangered due to overhunting and loss of habitat.
  • Many of the animals in the savanna have long legs which helps them when migrating long distances.
  • Most of the plants will survive because they have extensive root systems.
  • The baobab tree that lives in the savanna can live for thousands of years.

  • 70% or more of the plants that are used to treat cancer are found only in the tropical rainforests on the planet.
  • Timber, coffee, cocoa and many medicinal products are few of the products produced by rainforests, including those used in the treatment of cancer.
  • Bamboo plants can grow 9 inches.
