May 20. 2015 I had just returned home to
Durant Oklahoma, from California where I had been staying for a few months with my mother, who we just lost to glioblastoma multi-forms (brain cancer) The severe weather caused so much damage to so many, The grounds stayed saturated with water, and causing a 75-80 year old tree to up-root and smashed our laundry room that was adjacent to the kitchen! The tree hit with such force it drove apart of it over 2.5 ' in the ground! We also found out weeks later that it hit with such force it also caused the exterior supporting wall to slip off the foundation, and rest on the wet earth. With no homeowners insurance, and no funds available through any of the organizations we haven't been able to start any repairs to our home! my husbands income being our only source of support ,we barley cover our normal monthly bills.
I was forced to look for other ways to come up with the funds necessary to fix our home , before the exterior supporting wall gives out, taking our roof with it. The building safety Inspector informed us of the rapid decaying of the wall, it is unsafe and could fall at anytime.So without your support we will lose our little home.
We must start soon if we are going to be able to save our home in time. With high temperatures and humidity the black mold is growing fast. The house being so open , we are unable to keep the heat out! Spiders and Bugs are everywhere .
