HISTORY
Earliest known drawings of scabies were made by Giovan Cosimo Bonomo in 1687. This began the discovery of the scabies mite.

SYMPTOMS
Itching is the main symptom of scabies. There is also mite tunnels that are usually dark on the skin and appear about 0.2--1.0 mm long.

DIAGNOSIS
Doctors will diagnosis this virus with a visual diagnosis by removing a mite from a burrow with a needle or by skin scraping. The skin is examined under a microscope to confirm if it is scabies
