HISTORY

  • Found by Lars Fredrik Nilson
  • Discovered in 1879
  • Discovery made in Scanandinavia

USES

  • Used to make Scandium-aluminum alloys
  • These alloys make bats and bicycles
  • Also used in Russian military air crafts
  • Firearms contain scandium frames
  • Scandium is used in metal halide lamps/light bulbs.

  • Is colorless, odorless, and dense
  • One of the noble gases

HISTORY

  • Found by Scottish Chemist William Ramsay and England Chemist Morris Travers
  • Discovered in July 12, 1898, right after the discovery of elements Krypton and Neon
  • Discovered in England

USES

  • Is used in Arc lamps, Flash lamps, and as a general anesthetic
  • Used to activate the medium in lasers
  • Used in IMAX projector systems
  • Recently, used for newborns as a ingredient to the ventilation mix for newborns with a comprised life chance.
