SCHOLASTICISM: ST. THOMAS AQUINAS
Aquinas promoted scholastic theologyーUnified Christianity's beliefs and values with Greek philosophy's logic
Aquinas taught at University of Paris, scholastic theologian; believed there was a cause for everything
Believed that Aristotle interpreted the world better than any other thinker
Combined Aristotle's logic with teachings of Christianity to create the most accurate and persuasive
system of thought. Also believed a person's belief in God did not state them faithful.
