- Example: many plant use sun light to make their own food.

- Example: when a wolf dies bacteria breaks down the wolf.

- Are organism that only eat plants and grasses
- Example: a deer only eats plant and grasses

- Is a organism that does not make their own food
- Example is little fish eat weed and aquatic plants
