Amphibian
A cold- blooded vertebrate animal that lives in water and breathes with girls as a young; as an adult, lives on land and breathes with lungs.

Bacteria
Part of a classification system that divides all living things into 6 kingdoms. Kingdom bacteria includes microscopic organisms found in many environments. Can be associated with disease in other organisms.

Condensation
The process by which a gas changes to a liquid.

Dew point
The temperature at which air with a given amount of water vapor will reach saturation.

Evaporation
The process by which a liquid changes into a gas.

Fruit
The ripened ovary if a flowering plant that contains the seeds.

Global winds
Winds that travel long distances in steady patterns over several weeks.

Hurricane
A tropical low pressure system with sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour or more.

Sponge
A simple multicellular invertebrate animal that lives attached to one place and filters food from water.

Tentacle
A long slender flexible extension of trh body of certain animals; such as jellyfish. Tentacles are used to touch, move, or hold.

Ultra violet radiation
Radiation of higher frequencies of visible light which can cause sunburn and other types of damage.

Vertebrate
An animal with an internal backbone.
