PRESENTATION OUTLINE

WHY WE SEE COLOR

Bella Anderson

Humans have special cells in our eyes called cones. When light hits an object, the object absorbs some of the light and reflects it.

When you look at an object, the wavelengths of reflected light determine what color you see. This is because color originates in light.

We perceive only the reflected colors. The surface of objects reflects the wavelengths we see.
