CHEETAHS

COMMUNICATION

  • Cheetahs communicate vocally through hissing, growling and purring
  • but their throats are designed differently than lion making it impossible
  • For them to roar.

MATING AND RASING.

  • Mama cheetahs can have up to eight babes.
  • It takes about 4-6 weeks before the cubs
  • Fallow and eat with there mother.
  • Cheetahs will leave there mom between 15-24 months.
  • Most cheetahs live to be about 12 and 17 in a zoo.

Hibernation or migration

  • Because cheetahs live in Africa they
  • Don't hibernate or migrate anywhere.
  • They also in Africa or northern Iran.

Competition

  • Cheetahs have three main enemies lions,
  • Baboons,and hyenas. Which ether kill there young,
  • or steal the cheetahs kill.
  • About 80% of cubs get eaten by lions

DO THEY LIVE IN GROUPS?

  • Female cheetahs don't unless raising cubs.
  • Males usually don't unless they are brothers.
  • Which they usually only go in groups of three.

WHAT DO THEY EAT

  • The main prey of the cheetah include
  • small antelope, birds, hare, and warthogs.
  • Cheetahs eat about 6 lbs of meat per day

OTHER FACTS

  • Cheetahs are the fastest land mammals.
  • Their strides can reach up to 25 feet.
  • they weigh between only 20 and 70 kilograms (about 45–155 lbs).
