PRESENTATION OUTLINE

INNER CORE

  • Earths inner core is 2,440 km across.
  • The temperature is 4,940 to 8,540 degrees fahrenhiet.
  • The inner core is solid and is mainly composed of iron.

OUTER CORE

  • The temperature is 4,000 to 5,000 degrees celsius.
  • It is composed with iron and a little nickel.
  • The outer core is 2,200 km thick.

MANTLE

  • The temperature is 3,000 degrees celsius.
  • The mantle is about 2,900 km thick.
  • It is divided into two sections.
  • The asthenosphere and the lithosphere.

CRUST

  • It of composed of mainly granite,basalt, and diorite rocks.
  • The temperature is 200 celsius and can rise up to 400 celsous.
  • From a continent to edge it is 60 km thick.
  • From the bottom of the ocean to the edge it is 10 km thick.
