  • It displaces the marine life.
  • Most animals don't survive after being displaced.
  • Dolphins migrated and were impacted greatly.

WHAT HAPPENS TO TERRESTRIAL LAND AFTER THE HURRICANE?

  • An estimated 1,833 people died.
  • Millions were left homeless after the flooding.
  • Impacted U.S Fish and Wildlife Service Lands.
  • An estimated 80% of New Orleans was under water up to 20 feet deep.
  • Caused 81 billion in property damages.
  • Total economic impact of Louisiana and Mississippi exceed 150 billion.

WHAT SURPRISED YOU OR WHAT DID YOU FIND INTERESTING?

  • It surprised me how many deaths there were.
  • I was also surprised by how much the damage costed in the end result.
  • I find it interesting how one natural disaster can affect so many lives, humans and animals.
  • That the barometric pressure was the third lowest ever.
