• Use a hot mitt to handle hot items
• Use extra care when using the hot plate

Tie your hair back when using heat

Electrical Safety

• Examine plugs and wires to be sure they are in good condition
• Don't use electricity near water
• Unplug by pulling on the plug not the cord

Do Not...

• Eat or drink in the lab
• Directly smell chemicals

Always...

• Read and follow directions
• Listen and ask questions when unsure

• Any injury
• Any accident
• Any broken or damaged equipment
• Any spill or mess
