PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

  • Metals-shiny,conducts electricity,is mallabe
  • Non metals-dull,doesn't conduct electricity,isn't mallable
  • Metalloids-shiny or dull,maybe conduct,sometimes mallable

LAW OF CONSERVATION

  • Matter can't be created or destroyed

ORGANIC COMPOUND

  • Must contain carbon and at least two hydrogen atoms.

CALCULATE DENSITY

  • Density=mass divided by volume.

NEWTONS FIRST LAW

  • An object at rest will remain in rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force
  • An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed.
  • And same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

NEWTONS SECOND LAW

  • Acceleration is produced when when a force acts on a mass.
  • The greater the mass the greater the anount of force needed.
  • It can be measured by F=MxA

Newton's thrid law

  • for every action there is an equal and opposite re-action
  • For every force there is a reaction force that is equal in size, but opposite in direction
  • Law of action and reaction
